STORMLORD Working On First-Ever DVD

February 5, 2007

Italian "extreme epic metal" act STORMLORD is currently working on its first-ever DVD. Entitled "The Battle Of Quebec City: Live In Canada 2006", the disc was recorded during the band's 15th anniversary Canadian tour and will include the complete show in Quebec City, plus two bootleg songs from Toronto and Montreal gigs, official video clips, footage from the road and many more. Additional details will be announced soon.

In other news, the band has issued the following update:

"We know we have a lot of fans crazy for graphics and we'd like to have one of your artworks as cover of the DVD! So we decided to make a contest about it: just send us your cover artwork at stormlord @ email.it, and the best ones will be published on our website. The [very] best one will be used for the DVD. Let the battle begin!"

STORMLORD are currently working on material for the follow-up to 2004's "The Gorgon Cult", tentatively due later in the year. According to the band, the upcoming effort will feature a "much more epic direction" than that on its predecessor, "but with the same high skill quality level."

"The Gorgon Cult" was recorded and mixed over a two-month period at The Outer Sound Studios in Rome with engineer Giuseppe Orlando (NOVEMBRE, NECRODEATH, DGM, THY MAJESTIE) and was mastered at The Mastering Room in Sweden (IN FLAMES, DIMMU BORGIR, OPETH, SOILWORK).
